You don't need a passport to getauthentic Mexican food.

Five or six year ago, I reiterated a million times tha Indian Rocks Beach needed a Mexican Restaurant. at
least a hole  in the wall like burrito brothers in Gainesville (you Gators fans know what I'm talking about),
where we could get our quick fix of high-fat, juice-dripping burritos and chimichangas, and chips and salsa
to boot. Finally, someone with a brain and some business savvy captured my thoughts and jumped feet
first into the old thunderheads restaurant location at 301 Gulf Blvd.in IRB. the only difference is that this is
not a hole in the wall. Instead, the owners invested some time and money to convert the previous  failed
restaurant into an authentic Mexican restaurant and bar. The owners slapped some bright colors on the
walls and a handful of pinatas and WHAM!- you can almost smell sizzling fajitas being brought to your table
as soon as you walk in the door. Now, let's be honest with each other. Who doesn't like a plate full of beef
or chicken, flour tortillas, cheese, guacamole, sour cream and a frosty cold beer to wash it all down while
watching college or professional football? This restaurant, which hosts your traditional latino staff and a
mariachi trio that plays twice a week, is as good, if not better, than any other Mexican restaurant in the
area. Now, to spice things up. Here are some of Los Mexicanos' flaws:Altough you get a plate full of food,
you tend to get more rice and beans than you do your entree. In other words, the burritos, chimichangas
and other menu items' portions are a bit small. And as far as the staff speaking and understanding english.
And yep, you guessed it, that is my signature order every time the family dines at Los Mexicanos, which is
easily once a week. My wife swears they have the best chips and salsa in the world. and, no, we have not
been to every country to try their chips and salsa, but we do frequent Mexican joints like Los Mexicanos
throughout the bay area. Now, I know what you're thinking. These guys must be fat pigs. Au contraire, mon
frere. You need fat in your diet and there is no better place to get it than Los Mexicanos. Los Mexicanos
has your standard Mexican restaurant menu. Although almost everything I have ordered has been
delicious, I do prefer the chimichangas on the dinner menu and one for lunch. Go there for dinner and get
the two. They will certainly do the job.Our son usually orders the enchilada from the kids' menu, which also
features chicken tenders and fries for our daughter, who is too young to appreciate all this place has to
offer. In addition to the chips and salsa, my wife says they have great margaritas. There you have it, my
dear readers. Go to Los Mexicanos and feast to your heart's content and don't forget to order that cold
beer or margarita-it makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. For other great places to dine, be
